Ooooooh so that is what this is all about…
Today I had my first antenatel appointment. No, unlike someone I kind of know, I’m not G1P0 
. But I attended my first appointment with a follow-through. It’s taken me this long to get to one and today’s was at the clinic. At the clinic there was a veritable sea of pregnant women. More than I’ve ever seen in one place.
My heart sang.
In the next two hours, I got to see a baby moving inside her mother’s tummy (it’s a cute way of saying it but saying "the foetus move inside its sac in the mother’s abdomen" is no where near as romantic!), kicking our hands away as we felt where she was lying.
And - I got to take blood! It was my FIRST EVAH time on a real person (as compared to the fake arm I learnt on) and I did it really well as well!
I am reading your blog with great interest as I am hoping to get into EBMID next year through UniSA. By reading your blog i have a great idea what I am in for. Keep it up and goodluck with your placement. Do you mind me asking what the placement options available were?

Placements included Flinders MGP, Gawler, Lyell McEwin, Mt Gambier, North Eastern Community, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Women’s and Children’s MGP, Women’s and Children’s assessment service this time. It varies a lot from placement to placement though, and choices may be limited for the next round, based on our postcode.
